SPELLBINDER : THE LIFE OF HARRY HOUDINI
New York : Holiday House, 2000.
IL 3-6  RL 5.7
ISBN 082341499X
Spellbinder is the life story of Harry Houdini.  It is filled with great pictures like old advertisements for some of his performances.  There are also interesting facts that I never knew about Houdini -- like personal details about his bizarre relationships with his mother and wife.  The best part about this book is the cool descriptions of some of the crazy trick that he performed -- occasionally it includes HOW he did them, too!  If you need to read a biography, this one is a hit.  (New Hampshire Great Stone Face Committee, 2002)
SUBJECTS:     Houdini, Harry, 1874-1926.
                        Escape artists.
                        Magicians.
