Young Lewis Carroll loved playing with words. If you know his books, you will not be surprised to hear that.  He loved telling stories to his sisters and brothers and telling them they should do six impossible things before breakfast. Or that they should soothe the jubjub bird.  When he was a young man, he and some friends took a leisurely boat ride. To entertain the children, he invented a story about a girl named Alice and her adventures. He later wrote the story down and the rest is history.
