Have you ever heard of Gypsies?  Do you know that they really exist?  Over one thousand years ago, Muslim soldiers attacked part of northwestern India and groups of Hindus with similar languages came together to resist the exile.  They called themselves the Rajput.  When they were defeated, they were forced to leave their home country and later became known as the Romani people.  The people moved around Europe quite a bit but never truly assimilated into local culture.  They kept their language and their culture alive and often kept to themselves.  This often brought about distrust and fear.  This is the story of the Romani people and seeks to explain their beliefs and the life style.
