Princess Solveig is sent with her brother and sister to wait out a war her father is waging. He is to come to them before the land freezes over and they are trapped. They are excited to see the ships in the nick of time, but it seems their father has not come; he has sent his Berzerkers to protect them: his most fierce, trusted warriors with mythical abilities when angered. However, when the entire camp becomes ill, and people start dying, it becomes clear there is a traitor in their midst, and no one is safe. Set within the medieval Nordic time period, Icefall is rich in Nordic mythology. Princess Solveig grows up while trapped in the ice and discovers her own talents as a skald, a storyteller, and she will learn the stories of her people and become a keeper of history… if only she has the courage to tell her father when he arrives.
