Booktalk #1

The main character of this book is Paul Sheldon. Paul is a best selling novelist looking to find a quiet, secluded location deep in the country. On his search for the right location, he unexpectedly gets into an automobile accident by driving his road into a ditch. Low and behold, out of the snowy country roads he finally meets his biggest fan, Annie Wilkes. Little does he know she is more than a fan, she is a nurse who has an obsession for him. Tending to his body after the accident, she brings him to her house where no one will be able to find him. But her idea is to keep him captive, and a prisoner of her house. Now Annie wants Paul to write his greatest book of his series for her but he chooses not to, now this is just the beginning of her madness. If you want to continue the misery of this book, I suggest you read MISERY by Stephen King. (Andrew L., 8th grade student, Rundlett Middle School, Concord, New Hampshire)

Booktalk #2

This is a story about an author who gets kidnapped by his biggest fan when he writes the last novel in a popular series.  His "fan" wants him to write another book, she wants this book series to never end.  While in captivity, she breaks his ankles, keeps him drugged up, and tries to keep him there with her forever.  (Shannon Cyrus, student of ACTC)
