Meet
Lily Blennerhassett. She's 13 and hopes to be famous some day.
As a service to her future biographer (as well as an extra credit English
assignment), Lily is keeping a journal during her summer vacation.
Well, we meet a pretty ordinary girl who longs to be cool. But how
can anyone with parents like hers ever be cool. But then it happens.
At her aunt's wedding -- a rather boring affair -- Lily meets the LeBlancs.
These are relatives she has never heard of. Her parents ask her to
stay away from them but that just makes her more determined to meet them.
And are they cool. Lily likes them right away and strikes up a friendship
with the daughter -- Karma. Lily can think of nothing but being with
them. But, she can't tell her parents about spending time with them.
The parents just wouldn't understand. But why doesn't Lily's best
friend sense trouble as well? Why is everyone against her when Lily
is just on the brink of cool? |
