ALMOST LIKE A SISTER
New York : Scholastic, 1986.
IL YA
.
Jamie Hogan is excited about hosting a foreign exchange student. Carla Santin is from Italy and will be arriving the next week. Jamie can't wait to meet her new "sister". When they get to the airport, they are very surprised to find out that Carla is actually Carlo, a rather arrogant looking young man. Carlo spends his time complaining about American customs and talking about how much better things are in Italy. At school, Carlo charms all Jamie's friends and becomes very popular. This makes Jamie very mad because she has had to listen to his complaints for days. Things become even more confusing for her when she realizes she's starting to have romantic feelings for Carlo.
