Jacob
was so angry with his father. He knows times are tough and his father
is still very sad about his mother. But would it be so horrible to
keep the stray dog? After all, he is small and wouldn't eat too much.
And his father did own a butcher shop. But now, here he is at the
break of day bringing the dog back to the neighborhood where he found him.
And thinking mean thoughts about his father. And then it happened.
The earth began to move. There was a terrible sound that drowned
out everything else. An earthquake! When it was over, San Francisco
was in ruins. And Jacob couldn't find his father and his sister.
The only thing he had was the little stray dog who he named Quake.
Now Jacob and Quake set off to find his father. |
