The third volume in the Shamer series finds Dina and her family fleeing yet again.  This time they are running from a man who may very well be Dina's father.  He can manipulate people with dreams.  Dina is afraid she has inherited this power.  The family finds themselves living in Sagisloc that they think is a home for transients.  It is really a home for slaves and now they are forced into slave labor for the Foundation.  And they must work as fast as they can to stopped the beatings and torture.
