This wholly original story is a window into the world of obsessive-compulsive disorder. In the aftermath of an alien ship being destroyed over planet earth, mirrors are known to spawn a fog and murderous monsters. Black market mirror dealer Marty knows one thing: only his city and his brother’s, across the world, survived the explosion of the alien ship. He will do whatever it takes to get back to his only living family member. When he is exiled for his shady dealings with the mayor’s own son, the two must protect their once sworn enemies in an attempt to uncover the truth of the fog and the monsters if they have any chance at returning to normalcy. The story itself is a metaphor for obsessive-compulsive disorder written by an own voices author. (Oklahoma Sequoyah Book Awards, 2021) |
