Rachel
Porter is kidnapped and forced to live with the Sioux Indians during the
1840's. Rachel becomes accustomed to the Sioux way and is reluctant to
leave when a rescue party finds her. After living with the Sioux for 7
years, Rachel does not remember her life as part of the white culture.
Her adjustment is hard but she does come to love her family. She can't
help longing for her life with the Sioux though. Rachel has to make a really
