Hermux
Tantamoq, a mouse, is an expert watchmaker who likes to keep things orderly.
Ms. Linka Perflinger, a noted aviatrix, brings her watch in to be repaired.
It MUST keep perfect time. She needs it by the next day, but she never
arrives to pick it up. Hermux is smitten with her beauty and dashing. When
a rat comes to pick up the watch, he is suspicious. What follows is adventure
and intrigue. Hermux discovers that Tucka Mertslin, his obnoxious neighbor
who has just trashed the lobby of the apartment in the name of art, has
entered into a deal with a Dr.Hiril Mennus to find a fountain of youth
formula. A Dr. Dandifer, who was on the trail of this fountain in a remote
jungle, gets killed. By reading Dandifer's journal, Hermux discovers that
the potion must not be swallowed - with disastrous results. Traitors, industrial
espionage, bad puns and interesting chapter headings abound as Hermux solves
the mystery. Will he win the girl? (Jean B. Bellavance for
