He isn't sure where he is going but he can't stay here.  His father is a drunk and Billy needs to get out before he kills him.  So off he goes.  Leaving for who knows where.  When he spots a train getting ready to leave, he hops on board.  Well, he hops into a boat that is on top of the train.  So there he is.  Leaving in a boat.  As time goes by, Billy meets all sorts of people.  Most of whom are good and helpful.  It could have easily turned out badly for him.  But what will happen when the authorities catch up with the 16 year old runaway?
