Snowman was just a washed up old, old Amish plow horse sent to market. That is until Harry deLeyer, a riding instructor, spots him and makes a quick connection with the gentle giant. Harry purchases Snowman to use as a lesson horse and he becomes a favorite of the deLeyer children and a part of the family. When Harry sells Snowman to a neighbor, his talent as a jumping horse is revealed when he jumps multiple fences to get back home to the deLeyer children. Harry trains Snowman as a jumping horse and miraculously, he becomes a champion jumper. Amazingly Snowman goes on to win the Triple Crown and is inducted into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame. Despite his new found fame, Snowman remains a cherished member of the deLeyer family and beloved pet to the children. Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award 2018-2019
