This
is a quick read about two weeks in a 10 year old kid's life while she's
stuck at the Aunt's house at the beach while her Dad undergoes bypass surgery.
The two weeks start out as the longest time she's ever endured because
her Aunt and Uncle don't really want her to be there -- and the Aunt is
a terror, always degrading Emma. Emma connects with Berta down the beach
and their days are filled with scavenging the beaches and making their
own miniature village by the sea. Time starts to speed up on Emma. It's
a good time to read about the ocean. |
