Rob has been given the assignment to write an autobiography for English class.  He tells the story of his life in a collage of voices.  He has grown up in a house built of voices.  His grandmother reading to him, his grandfather's letters to the editor, his mother's poetry.  These are always around.  He adds one more sound.  The sound of his long gone father.  Rob's father is a radio DJ somewhere.  He left before Rob was born.  And now Rob spends more and more time listening to far-off radio stations in search of Lenny.  It started when he was a little kid and as the years have gone by, the radio equipment has gotten more and more sophisticated and the signals more remote.  How many times can Rob hit the seek button on the radio and still keep up the hope of finding his father?
