This is a comical diary of a single woman named Bridget who is in her thirties and living in London.  Each journal entry starts off with statistics on the amount of alcohol and cigarettes she has consumed and the number of pounds she has gained or lost.  In addition to struggling with her vices and obsessing about her weight, she is attempting to find a steady boyfriend and attain what she calls “Inner Poise”.  This is a humorous look at the plight of a contemporary single woman.  (Davinna Artibey, Denver Center for International Studies, Denver Public Schools, CO)
