Each
of these tales relates the story of a person struck by the fickle finger
of fate. A hockey player skates with a ghost. Schools and businesses
are canceled during a snowstorm—with emphasis on the canceled. Who
but Stephen King could write a story like “Battleground?” A hit man
returns to his hotel and finds a package waiting for him. Being in
such a dangerous line of business, Renshaw treats the package as a bomb.
He opens it carefully and finds a box inside. (Read p. 121-122 from
description of the box to the first assault on Renshaw.) To find
out if Renshaw survives this most unusual attack, read Read if You Dare.
