April and her family leave
town in a rush because her father has given evidence in a drug trial and
has been the target of a hit man. With her new identity, she's spotted
by an old friend at Disney World. New friends in the sleepy Florida town
they've moved to aren't helping her adjust -- they're pressuring her to
conform to the drinking and bowing to the demand of the cute conceited
tennis star of the school. An interesting detail about this book is that
the hitman, Vamp has the same name as a suspect in the twisted tale of
the real-life murder of author Lois Duncan's daughter Kaitlyn. The wield
thing is this novel was published before her daughter's murder. Readers
might want to read "Who Killed My Daughter" and get leads on other bizarre
coincidences.
