Geraldine dreams of becoming an orchestra conductor someday. She has never told anyone about this dream because she's afraid of being laughed at. Geraldine's mother is a gifted cellists who plays in an orchestra and Geraldine loves to go to the rehearsals to watch the conductor. While watching her mother perform, Geraldine meets a stranger whom she confides in.
