GET THERE -- IT BETTER BE WORTH THE TRIP
New
York : Dell, 1969.

Davy
lived with her grandmother until she died. Then Mom, complete with drinking
problem, resumes her parental duty and doesn't let Davy forget it. Davy
has to move from Boston to New York City and the new friendship at his
Episcopal-run private school helps him cope with the less-than-ideal home
situation -- though this friendship too is less than ideal. In one moment
of reaching out to his friend, he enters the confusion of affection and
sex and resolves the conflict with the notion of respect. |
