Chilean author Poli Delano had the privilege of knowing poet Pablo Neruda while he was growing up.  Neruda was a larger than life figure and Delano views him this way as well.  Neruda had a pet badger.  He eats grasshoppers, worms and ants!!  And he is known to have set up fights between a walking stick insect and a tarantula.  But he also taught Delano about the beauty in the world.  Neruda was an eccentric in every sense of the world.  A few of his poems are included in the memoir to give you a sense of his writing.
