OK, so the crayons quit.  We all know that.  But now that have come back.  Well not all of them have come back.  Some will need some help with that.  And they write to Duncan in postcards to let him know that they need his help.  Tan Crayon has been eaten by the dog and puked up on the rug.  Neon Red was left behind on vacation when she was used to color a sunburn.  Maroon Crayon has been lost in the couch after Duncan's father sat on him and broke him in half.  And we don't even want to talk about what happened to the others.  Will Duncan be able to help them come home?
