New York : Scholastic, 1993.
IL 5-8, RL 6.7
ISBN 0590444794
Patrick was a rescurer for the fire department. He did not like coffee, but he acted like he did. He was still a junior in high school, but he could take blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Daniel's mother kisses him good-bye. His mom and dad have divorced, and his dad is getting remarried. Daniel and his brother Tuck board the plane. The plane crashes, and it splits into pieces. One of the pieces lands in a forest and the other part lands in a meadow. Some people survive and go to Dove House. (Jenica, student, Musselman Middle School.
