This book starts out in Africa where a mysterious viral epidemic is going to occur. After some gruesome descriptions of the symptoms of the virus, the plot goes to the present day. Dr. Marissa Blumenthal is working at the Center for Disease Control. She is sent to Los Angeles to investigate a mysterious outbreak in a hospital. After doing tests and taking samples, she soon finds out what is causing the outbreak (Read p. 69, 4th-10th paragraphs). If you want to find out what happens to Marissa and the Ebola virus, read OUTBREAK by Robin Cook. (William F., 8th grade student, Rundlett Middle School, Concord, New Hampshire)
