Elizabeth Lange is coming home.  Well, not really home.  Her sister, Leila LaSalle was killed several months ago and now Elizabeth is returning to testify against Leila's fiance.  Elizabeth doesn't want to believe that Ted could have killed Leila.  She thought they were really in love.  But, she can't change the facts of the story.  The fact that she was talking to her sister and heard Ted's voice just minutes before her sister was thrown from the balcony.  The fact that a woman on the street saw the whole thing.  The fact that Ted can't prove he wasn't home at the time.  The fact that Ted had had a bit too much to drink and can't really remember what happened.  Elizabeth is grateful for an invitation to stay at Cypress Point Spa instead of staying by herself.  Until Ted shows up at the spa.  While at the spa, Elizabeth finds out that Leila had been getting threatening letters just before her death.  Is there a chance that Ted didn't kill her?
