Eleven-year-old
Ethan Feld is not looking forward to going to the next baseball game.
In the last one, he made four errors and, of course, everyone blamed him
for the loss. It doesn't help that his dad is a baseball fanatic
and loves everything about the game. Ethan wants nothing to do with
it. When he tells his father that he wants to quit playing, his father
convinces him to delay the decision for at least today. And what
a day this would be. Ethan gets to sit on the bench for the game
and he notices a small animal run by. Intrigued, he follows it.
Little does he know that his life is about to change forever. You
see, the creature is actually a werefox and takes Ethan to Summerland,
an alternative world. Ethan learns that there are four alternative
worlds that are connected through the trees. Unfortunately, the evil
Coyote is determined to sever the links and end the Universe forever.
The ferishers, or little people, have chosen Ethan as their hero -- the
one who will save the world from ending. How can an ordinary eleven-year-old
boy possibly save the world? And could it be that it will all come
down to a very high stakes baseball game? |
