Best friends Izzy and Julia are on the same soccer team. Julia is really the star and sometimes Izzy gets a bit jealous, but they have been best friends forever. When a man in a suit and clipboard shows up during a game, Izzy speculates that it is a scout for a national team. When teammate Nicola overhears this, she begins to send Julia anonymous nasty text messages in an attempt to make Julia mess up on the field. At the same time, bad things are happening to their soccer field. First the nets are cut and the police won’t let the team use the field, since there could be other vandalism done. Then the city gets a call that the field might be contaminated with chemicals. Finally, the city finds areas of lead contamination that makes the field unusable. Just what is going on here? |
