Henry
Crawfoot is a young Native American boy who is the
hereditary leader of the Santa Rosa Indians. Henry
has left the reservation to attend high school in
the nearby town. Henry wants to get an education so
that he can become a lawyer and help his people
live better. Life in town is not good for Henry but
he is determined to succeed. When Henry uses the
school's science lab after hours to work on a
project, things get out of hand and a fire breaks
out. The fire is controlled but Henry is arrested.
He is referred to a lawyer who not only agrees to
help Henry on this matter but also takes on the
ambitious task of proving that the land the town
sits on was illegally stolen from the Santa Rosa
tribe.
