On January 4, Uncle Edward was found dead on the sidewalk having either jumped or was pushed from a 12th floor window. Ray keeps the secret. Even when his mother starts this conversation with him (Read some of page 6). Later he talks to Uncle Edward's girlfriend. She says Uncle Ed had a lot of gambling debts and she thinks Ed was pushed out the window for failing to pay those debts. Then a man named Albert Dawson comes to talk to Ray. He says Uncle Ed borrowed the money from him. He says right before Ed died he borrowed $30,000. The man wants to know if Uncle Ed gave money to Ray. (Read some of page 45).
