Leah
is angry. It wasn't supposed to work out this way. She has
moved around so often, one more move wouldn't be any big deal. Her
mother was supposed to pick her up after summer camp and then they were
going to move to California. Instead, Leah's father arrived at camp
and took her back to his house. She misses her mother so much and
dreams that she'll be there to pick her up any day now. Her father
and her stepmother tend to think she plans to stay there forever.
At school, Leah is uncooperative and tries to stay to herself. Will
Leah ever find the home she longs for? |
