Thirteen
year old Jonathan is anxious for war. Everyone is talking about it. His
own father has been wounded in a battle. When the bells toll on that April
morning, Jonathan sets out to join in the fight for America's freedom.
He joins up with a group of men who are off to battle. No one really knows
what war is all about and what they are supposed to be doing. When they
come up against Hessian troops and the blood begins to spill, Jonathan
begins to wonder about his decision. Will he be able to fight for a cause
he believes in or will he run away from the horror of war? |
