Almond scored a big hit with his book Skellig.  In that story, we first met Mina.  We find out so much more about her in the prequel to Skellig.  Mina should be asleep.  Everyone else in the house is.  But Mina loves the night.  She is staring out the window at the night and on her table is a blank notebook.  What should she write in it?  Should she write about the night and the things in it?  Or should she write about Mina?
