After
trying and failing to get the Nutri-Max Drinks Synthesizer, a machine designed
by the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation that claimed to produce the widest
possible range of drinks personally matched to the tastes and metabolism
of whoever cared to use it, to make a cup of tea, Arthur confuses the poor
machine so much that it has to link circuits with the ship’s computer Eddie.
Arthur along with Ford Prefect, one of his best friends who saved him from
Earth’s destruction; Zaphod Beeblebrox, President of the Galaxy; Trillian,
who was picked up off Earth some months previous to its destruction by
Zaphod; and Marvin, a maniacally depressed robot, go through a time warp
and wind up at Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, where
you can watch the Universe end around you while protected by the strongest
force field ever; a very spectacular dinner and a show. However, after
the return trip, they encounter quite a lot of difficulties. How will they
overcome them? (Marc Kiessling, Mansfield High School Student) |
