    • Poetry - The Space Between our Footsteps - poems selected by Naomi Shihab Nye. She is a Palestinian-American poet, novelist, and anthologist and this book includes poems and paintings from the Middle East.

    Lower level readers:  Habibi (Naomi Shihab Nye).  It's about a Palestinian-American girl whose family moves from the US to (contemporary) Jerusalem.  Same author has a book of poetry from all different Middle Eastern countries called The Space between our footsteps

    _Samir and Yonathan_ might fit the bill.
