• Fenner, Carolyn. Lovely novel Yolanda's Genius includes a teenage girl who is over weight and African  American. The girl's weight problems are not the story's major focus, but the character certainly has an awareness of her size. I saw at least one cover for the novel that showed the heroine as only the merest bit pudgy and had my usual fizzle of frustration with publisher's who misrepresent characters and content.
