is not humorous, but it is an entire novel that makes use of the comic

grade nothing, Superfudge, and Fudge-amania. One of our third
grade teachers always reads the first book to her students and they pick
up the others.

the cowdog, series. (These are a little longer than the other books,
but several boys are hooked on the series.)

titles by this author, but I can't remember them.

to be picture books instead of chapter books, but they have the same zany

by are consistently hot.
Sachar, Louis books (Sideways
Stories series) are popular.
Scieszka, Jon. "Time Warp Trio"
books. Three boys, one magic kit, time travel - throw in some gross-out
primary level humor and wacky sketches - you can't go wrong. The first
is Knights of the Kitchen Table.

books -- they're hilarious, and there are at least 3 books in the series.
Spinner, Stephanie. Aliens
for lunch and Aliens for dinner.
