In the case of TILL DEATH DO US PART, Ned Nickerson, Nancy's long term boyfriend, takes her out to dinner, gives her roses, takes her out for a walk on the beach and proposes to her. Nancy says no. The next day, Nancy finds out that Ned is now engaged to someone else named Jessica Thorne. Nancy gets suspicious about this new girl and what she is doing in River Heights.

Nancy learns that Jessica was married before to a man who looked so much like Ned that he could be his twin. His name was Scott O'Malley. People thought he was dead so the only reason Jessica wanted to marry Ned was to have him impersonate Scott. She would have to kill Ned though. When Ned's parents find out what Jessica is up to, they are mad at Ned for wanting to marry her and not Nancy. Ned joins Nancy to solve the mystery. When they do solve it, they find out that Jessica is a crook and just marries men for their money. Ned's father calls the FBI and Jessica is arrested. Nancy and Ned go steady again but she tells him straight -- no more proposing to her. Now everyone is happy that Jessica is out of River Heights for good.
