In The Ramsay Scallop, two pilgrims, Thomas and Eleanor, go on a pilgrimage from England to Spain. Along the way, they meet pilgrims who will travel with them. They tell stories and the group meets other groups. Once in Spain, Eleanor sells her horse for money. She is so sad that a pilgrim buys her a dog and Thomas gets really jealous. The dog wanders off and Eleanor goes to find it. She gets hurt. A sheep farmer takes her back to his house and takes care of her. Thomas finds her. Will Thomas and Eleanor get married?
