The book is about a 13 year old boy whose parents have just gotten divorced. He has to decide who to live with -- his mother who is a nice woman but drinks and is very unstable or his father who lives in Santa Fe and has a good job and is stable. He loves his mom and his dad both the same. He goes to stay with his day in the summer and his mom during the school year. What parent will he choose? After he does, will he be happy?
