This book is about a boy whose family lives in the Florida outback. They have some problems and one day they find out a wild boar has come. The wild boar goes around killing a lot of people. The townspeople decide they have to go out and kill the wild boar. There are more deaths and they have to find the boar to kill it. To find out what happens, read Nine Man Tree.
