The book is about a kid who is accused of stealing
a famous baseball players shoes. When caught, he has to chose between
jail or going to a camp called Camp Green Lake. The camp sounds like
a good place to be so he chooses that. When he gets there, he finds
out that all they have to do is dig holes each day. There are lizards
and snakes and everything there. He didn't know it would be in the
dessert in the middle of nowhere. All the kids there are juvenile
delinquents and he has to try to make friend with them.
